Hello!

This is a card made for a dental laboratory that we collaborate with at work (I'm a dental hygienist). We were invited to a party to celebrate their new office space and I wanted to make a card to wish them good luck. I got this crazy idea to create a 'tooth manufacturing machine' on my card....LOL

The focal point is made with an old retired impression tray from work and a recycled bulb. The pipes are made using a Tim Holtz die, chipboard and fluid acrylic paint from Deco Art.

Metal decorations from Prima and Tim Holtz except for the recycled parts from a stud tire at each corner and the small ruler at the left hand side that is from Michaels I think.

One panel is made with watercolor paper, distress oxides and crackle glaze and the other is made with watercolor paper, fluid acrylic paints, 3D embossing folder from Tim Holtz, crackle glaze and distress ink black soot and metallique wax from Finnabair/Prima. Between these panels there are one layer of corrugated paper covered with white gesso and distress paint.

This is how the machine works (LOL): you start the machine with the black on/off switch at the right hand side then you put the impression tray with alginate and the magic powder from the small glass bottle in to the machine. When the machine is working the bulb will light up...and if you wait a few days (7...8...9) and then turn on the wheel (in this case the faucet knob from Tim Holtz) the teeth will come out from the pipe on the top and rest products from the production are dripping from the lower pipe... 

I hope the ugly teeth coming out of the machine won't horrify anyone. I promise they are not real. They are made of resin and colored with fluid acrylic paint.

Love - A Wedding card in white and gold

Hello everyone and welcome,

I have a Wedding card to show today and it's also my DT project for Ally's Angels. The theme is anything goes. 

All panels are made with watercolor paper, distress oxides, backgrund stamps and stencils. 

The cogs and 'love' are embossed in gold

I die cut the hearts in chipboard using Tim Holtz dies and applied a layer of grit paste from Ranger. I then used art alchemy acrylic paint metallique gold rush and metallique steampunk copper from Finnabair and finished with a touch of black acrylic paint mixed with water

This is how it looks when the card opens. Everything embossed in gold. The sentiment on the left hand side is in Swedish and says "now and forever", it's from Inkido. The sentiment on the right hand side is from Magnolia. The bridal couple are from Tiddly Inks and colored by me using Prismacolor pencils

We were four families together on the wedding gift and I made separate pages for each family to congratulate the happy couple. So it's maybe more like an album than a card...

The back side of my card. 

The background stamp is from Magnolia, embossed in gold. It's part of a song written by the Swedish singer/songwriter Susanne Alfvengren. It's in Swedish and very romantic. 

The name of the song is "Ännu doftar kärlek"

Birthday Album to Ola

Hello everyone,

Today I'm showing an album. It's made for my love Ola and his 50th Birthday. I also want to join in the challenge at Simon Says Stamp Blog The theme this week is Recycle something.

Ola has a lot of hobbies and I've tried to get them all, more or less, in this album. I've photographed old (paper)photos and newspaper clippings of Ola when he was a child and teenager and printed them out on my photo printer. Of course I've also used some newer digital photos from our life together. We've been together for almost 25 years so it was difficult to choose among all photos. Ola has agreed to let me show parts of this album on my blog and I will also show them on my instagram account @lisaanderssonart 

To create the album cover and the inside pages I've used two scoreboard XL dies from Sizzix designed by Eileen Hull: wrapped journal die and passport die. The size of this album is approx. 13x9,5x4 cm or 5x3,5x1,5 inches and there are 16 decorated pages besides the cover. I will show some of them here.

First I made the wrap journal cover: I cut it out in chipboard and then I used a movers & shapers die from the Tim Holtz/sizzix set 'mini old glory' to cut out a star shaped hole on the front. I then used acrylic paint from DecoArt Media (prussian blue hue) to colour it. I sanded all surfaces. I mixed distress paint barn door and black soot to get the red colour that I wanted and used it with different stencils from Tim Holtz and then stamped with Archival Ink in black using mostly stamps from Tim Holtz but also some unknown background stamps from stash. I then sanded all surfaces again. I've colored some metal decorations and die cuts to use as decorations. I've also used crackel paint from DecoArt Media and distress crayons on some decorations to get an even more distressed look. To close the album I wrapped metal wire around it.

The back side

The inside pages are made using the passport die. I cut out the passport cover in chipboard and the inside pages in watercolor paper. I used the same colours as for the wrap journal, some stencils and stamps. Sanded all surfaces and then started to decorated the pages with my photos and newspapers clippings of Ola. I've used paper die cuts, metal decorations and I've also used my sewing machine which doesn't happen very often. I then put it all together and glued the passport back to the inside of the wrap journal cover. The pages are not removable.

This is how it looks when I open it

One of Olas hobbies is building radio controlled model airplanes and I found one of his blueprints and photographed it and printed it out on my photo printer and made this frame of small pieces of balsa wood found in Olas hobby room, left overs from building his airplane. I've colored it with distress oxides and then a layer of clear crackel paint. The screw, the contact and the washer at the bottom are recycled from the car garage at Olas work. The mechanics there are very kind so instead of throwing this junk away they save it for me as they know I sometimes need some for my projects

The big heart is cut out in chipboard using a Tim Holtz/sizzix die. I covered the surface with black gesso and then used crackel paste from DecoArt Media and let dry. I then colored it with acrylic paint from DecoArt Media and used some black gesso on top. The small heart is from the same set of dies and also covered in black gesso and then stamped with a love background stamp from Magnolia using white gesso...hard to see in this photo though

As Ola works with cars both at work and as a hobby, I made this page. The metal washer to the right at the bottom are recycled from the car garage and the gear shift stick "top" I found last summer at a parking lot. The old car in the frame are fussy cut from a Tim Holtz design paper

Ola have been a soccer fan all his life and started playing when he was 5 years young. These pages are dedicated to his soccer interest and he playing for our local soccer club when he was young. The photo at the left page are from a newspaper clipping, Ola in action. I photographed the clipping and printed it out on my printer. I did the same with all the clippings on the right page too and made a collage using distress collage medium, stamps and distress paint

Capture life's moments

Hello crafters!

Good to be back again after a long break. My hubby and I have traveled in the USA for four weeks and when we got back to Sweden again we celebrated my hubby's 50th birthday and shortly after that we had a wonderful Christmas with our family. So, lots of fun lately for us but not so much crafting for me. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too and I wish you all a Happy New Year 2019.

This is my DT card for Ally's Angels and our first challenge for 2019. The theme is anything goes:

I started with a white paper (watercolor paper), my distress oxides, stamps and stencils. Then added texture paste using more stencils and also acrylic paint from DecoArt Media.

I've die cut parts from Tim Holtz pipeline die and used grit paste, distress oxides and DecoArt acrylic paint. Metal decorations from Tim Holtz except for the on/off switch from Prima. The background stamp is new for me, purchased on my USA trip, and it's from Carabelle Studios

Paper doll with a light wash of pyrrole orange DecoArt acrylic paint. I made his glasses with a stamp and matching die from TH, a bit oversized for this guy maybe, LOL, but wanted to use them anyway.

For the stamped bulb I created a decoration using metal wire and acrylic paint. The ticket is made with a stamp from TH/Stampers Anonymous, stamped with Archival ink and colored with distress oxides. The bulb stamp is from the set inventor 2 also from TH/Stampers Anonymous

 For the base I've used kraft. The second layer is corrugated cardboard and the third layers is this blue coredination cardstock with sanded edges.

Longhorn big sheep in Valley of fire. They didn't care the least about us so they are probably used to meet visitors in the park. How wonderful it is to unexpectedly meet wild animals, it made my day.

Discoveries

Hello and welcome

My project here today is inspired by the talented Seth Apter and it is also my DT project for Ally's Angels and our new challenge starting today. The theme is Anything Goes. Winners price is a 15£ voucher for the shop at Wild Orchid Crafts

I love Seth's dies and for this project I used two of them, cross bars and robo bar. I also used his embossing powder baked texture in vintage beeswax for my backgrounds and ancient amber on all the metal decorations. 

I created my backgrounds using distress oxides, background stamps, archival ink in black, stencils and baked texture embossing powder vintage beeswax from Seth Apter/Emerald Creek

I use the cross bars die from Seth Apter/Spellbinders for my focal point and I found two nails in our basement to use on top. I cut out four cross bars and glued them together and colored them using distress oxides. The nails, and all other metal decorations as well, are treated with baked texture ancient amber and distress crayons black soot

The chipboard quote chips and arrow are from Tim Holtz.

Happy Birthday

Hello

A new challenge starts today at Ally's Angels

and the theme is HAPPY BIRTHDAY


I made this card for my mother in law

For my background I used watercolor paper, distress oxides 
and stencils and some unknown background stamps. 
All die cuts and decorations are from Tim Holtz except for 
the Prima metal corner down at the left hand side

I used one of the paper dolls from Tim Holtz and some distress oxids, distress collage medium vintage and I also sanded the edges

For dad

Made this card for my dad <3

The base is kraft cardstock, my first layer is black coredination cardstock with a brown core, sanded, and my second layer is corrugated paper and DecoArt acrylic paint. I then made three layers using watercolor paper and distress oxides.

The big star in the center is made with a Tim Holtz die and the star that's like a frame around it is made with a Set Apther die. I cut them out in watercolor paper and used acrylic paint from DecoArt and distress oxides to color them. Then embossed them with baked texture from Emerald Creek/Seth Apter. I used deep sea, rocky road and a touch of dirty sand.

For the star panel I used baked texture dirty sand 

and the metal decoration stars are from Tim Holtz.

I used my word play alphabet die from Sizzix/Tim Holtz to cut out 'dad' and then treated the letters the same way as the center stars. Absolutely LOVE these embossing powders from Emerald Creek/Seth Apter. I used some of it on my layers as well.
