31 Days of Halloween at Club KennyK

Hello crafters!

It´s spooky times over at Club KennyK Facebook group as we are celebrating 31 Days of Halloween. There will be four mini challenges during this time starting this week with the theme "sentiments". Lots of prizes to be won and much more. So come on over and join all the fun.

Our wonderful DT Co-ordinator and FB administrator, Regan, has a lovely surprise for you. I just found out that she´s designing her own sentiments and starting an etsy shop, you just have to have a look at them, they are awesome!!! and right now she gives some of them away for free. Also check out her gorgeous Halloween project featuring Foxy Mama and one of her own sentiments. I love it!

For my project I´ve used a non Halloween image, Wedding Garter, together with one of the KennyK Halloween sentiments, Black Widow. You can find them at www.kennykstamps.com. The KennyK Halloween sentiments are one of this months "one dollar deals" at the shop.

I´ve colored her skin in green and her dress in black with Polychromos pencils. The card is in black and white with a touch of
"metal". And lots of spiders...

There will be 3 "one dollar deals" at the Club this month...

... and the Newsletter freebie is

with the bonus sentiment
"Ultimate Girl Power"

Recipe
I made my card using black and white cardstock. The spider webs are made using dies from Memory Box and Cheery Lynn. The bats and the tree are from Tim Holtz dies. To get the "metal" frame around the sentiment I´ve used aluminum tape on cardstock. The four pieces are cut out with a Spellbinder die embossed with the Tim Holtz Halloween plate and colored with black acrylic paint and when dried, rubbed with a towel. All metal embellishments are from Tim Holtz, including the spiders (I love that faucet knob, must buy more of them). I´ve colored the spiders with acrylic paint from Prima/Finnabair in the color metallic silver spoon to get the right look. The spider web at the upper left corner, "Potion no 31", "Happy Halloween" and "BOO" are embossed in black and from a set of Halloween stamps but I don´t remember where I got them from.

Thanks for visiting!
Have a spooky day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KennyK!
I wish you a fabulous day!

This special post is for the one and only, the fantastic KennyK.
It´s his birthday today and all the DT´s got together to surprise him with lots of Birthday wishes. I´ve used the super cool goth girl Vikki Lee Vicious for this music themed card and I think I red somewhere that KennyK´s favorite color is blue and as it is my favorite color too I decided to make a blue card with "rusty" details.

Over at Club KennyK you can join the Birthday celebration with the chance of winning a special prize. Make a KennyK Birthday creation and add it to the album. The prize is a 25 dollar gift voucher to use in the KennyK Stamps store. The challenge will run for one week starting today and don´t miss wishing him a Happy Birthday.

Thank you Kenny for all the amazing images and stamps you´ve created. I LOVE THEM! and I hope you are having a super awesome day together with your family and friends. YOU ROCK!

Recipe
I´ve used dies from Tim Holtz (the globe, the flag and the star border), Memory box (the skyline border and the small blue stars), Magnolia die (the small picture wheel). The guitars are made from a Lea-bilities die, the music border from a Cheery Lynn die and the torn notebook from a Marianne Design die. The base is made with a GoKreate die and "Congrats" with a Lawn Fawn die.

I´ve used blue cardstock, blue embossing powder and Distress Ink faded jeans. The rust is made using four different colors of embossing powder and Distress Ink. Design paper from Tim Holtz.

The "You Rock" sentiment is a stamp from Crafter´s Companion embossed in blue on blue cardstock. When I saw this stamp I though it would be perfect for Kenny´s card :)

La Spyda & Mad Mummy

Hello and Welcome!

A new challenge starts today at Club KennyK, the Facebook group for KennyK fans. To enter, create a project using one of this months freebie/discounted images. The freebie this month is Mad Mummy and the one dollar deal is the gorgeous witch La Spyda.  To get the freebie you need to subscribe to the KennyK monthly newsletter and to get the one dollar deal you use the coupon code ONEDOLLAR at checkout. You can find more details at www.kennykstamps.com.

I´ve used La Spyda for my DT project and colored her with Polychromos pencils. She is so much fun to color. The "Happy Halloween" sentiment is a stamp from Tim Holtz embossed in purple.
I´ve embossed spider web around the image using a military green embossing powder from Spark´l and Sprinkle.

I´ve used dies from Cheery Lynn: the black spider web border, the small spider web down at the right hand side, the big spider web at the top on the right hand side, the cat and the witch hatDies used from Tim Holtz are the spider web I used to decorate the corner of the image, the big bottle and the "boo". I´m not sure from where I got the pumpkin border though, sorry.

Design paper from Echo Park (the black layers at the back) and Maja Design (the purple). The green layer behind the image is made with green cardstock and a Halloween embossing plate from Tim Holtz and some Distress Ink black soot.

For all the spider webs I´ve used black cardstock and to get them shiny green I´ve used acrylic paint from Finnabair/Prima in emerald green.

For some details I´ve used embossing powder in black. All the small bottles are stamps embossed in black on green cardstock. The skull is a button found in a store in Gothenburg that only sells buttons (they have A LOT of buttons, lol). It´s a fantastic store to find details for my projects.

I also have a spider on my project even though it´s hard to spot him. He is all black except for his purple eyes and he is down at the left hand side. I´ve made him using glue from a glue gun to get the body and to get those hairy legs I glued some of that green stuff they use for mini models on metal wire. You know the fantastic scenes they build for model trains etc. This is what they use to make grass. Then I sprayed everything with black paint.

KennyK Santa Baby

Hello Crafters!

Here she is again - Santa Baby from www.kennykstamps.com. This is a inspiration card for Club KennyK, our Facebook page for KennyK fans. Santa Baby is one of three new digis from KennyK Stamps released today and we also have a new challenge starting today with the theme Die Cuts (suits me perfectly, don´t you think? - LOL). The other new images released today are "Santa Christmas Dance" and "Elfie Selfie". All the new digis are totally awesome.

If maybe you red my post earlier today you have seen my black and metal version using this adorable image. For this card I have gone fore a more cute look. The black cardstock is very smooth and shiny even if it doesn´t show in the picture, it almost looks like the surface of a black piano. She is colored with Polychromos pencils and I´ve also used platinum Stickles. For the edges I´ve used black embossing powder.

I´ve used dies from Tim Holtz; snow flurries, pediments, the smaller tags and the big snowflake at the upper left hand side.

I use it a lot but I can never remember from where the Star border die comes, sorry. The trees and the pine branches are made with Magnolia Doo-Hickey dies. The torn notebook and the tag at the top are made with Marianne Design dies.

The tickets are made with stamps from a clearstamp set with Christmas theme. I don´t know the brand, it could be from Swedish Panduro, but I´m not sure. They are embossed and fussy cut. Design papers from stash.

Have a great day!
Hugs, Lisa

New release and new challenge at Club KennyK - Santa Baby

Hello and Welcome!

I have exciting news from www.kennykstamps.com to show you. Three new and totally awesome Christmas digis are released today.

Of course we also have a new challenge at Club KennyK starting today and the theme is Die cuts. The challenge runs for two weeks. You need to use a KennyK digi or clearstamp and you can enter a Anything Goes project and still be eligible for a prize but to get the chance to win 5 digis of choice you need to follow the theme.

For my inspiration card I´ve used the adorable Santa Baby, you can find her in the SHOP. I've made two cards with this sweetie. The other card I´m posting later today.

Santa Baby is colored with Polychromos pencils and fussy cut. I´ve also used Stickles in silver. I´ve used dies from Tim Holtz; globe, townscape, tick-tock and mini pocket-watch.

The mini picture wheel, the tassel and the Merry Xmas tag are made with Magnolia Doo-Hickey dies. The fire hydrant and the torn notebook are made with Cheery Lynn dies. The base is made with a GoKreate die. Design paper and black cardstock from stash.

I´ve used aluminum tape and black acrylic paint for the metal looking details. I use it on cardstock before cutting and then I cover the whole surface with acrylic paint and after drying I use a rag to polish the surface, leaving paint here and there to get the right look.

Guest Designer at Crafty Boots Challenges using Jayne Jettpack

Hello Crafters!

A new challenge is up and running at Crafty Boots Challenges and I´m so delighted to be their guest designer this week. The theme is 'use a stamp'. It could be a digital stamp or a rubber/polymer stamp. The Design Team have made lovely projects so pop over and have a look.

For my project I´ve used a stamp from KennyK, her name is Jayne Jettpack and is one of my absolute favourites. I´ve colored her with my Polychromos pencils and used design papers from BoBunny.

The arrows, the clock and the clipboard top are die cuts from Tim Holtz dies. For the mini picture wheel I´ve used a die from Magnolia and for the smaller tags I´ve used a Marianne Design die. The big tag is from a Tim Holtz die. The splotches around the image I´ve made with stamps from Prima and the corner on the right hand side of the image is made with two Spellbinder rectangular dies to get a frame, then cut to fit the corner and then embossed in orange and yellow. Sentiment from Tim Holtz, embossed in orange.

KennyK Birthday Blog Hop for Regan

Hello!

It´s the amazing Regan´s birthday today. She is our DT Co-ordinator, Facebook Administrator and a very talented crafter at Club KennyK and we thought we´d surprise her with a Birthday Blog Hop!

Happy Birthday Regan!!!

Hope you're having a wonderful birthday!
and hope you get some of those gorgeous
LaLaLand dies that you want ;)

KennyK DT and GDT have got together to create this hop. It's a bit like a game of Pass the Parcel - you hop from one stop to the next and find a little bit of birthday love on each blog. It's a present for Regan, but we hope you'll all join in the fun too.

Leave a comment on each blog as you Hop and then leave a message for Regan in the comments on the KennyK Stamps Blog. We want to surprise her with lots of birthday love.

We'll ask Regan to choose her favourite comment from those left on the KennyK Stamps Blog to receive a prize. Make sure you've left a comment on all the stops on the hop too. Closing date is Saturday 13th Aug at midnight EST.

Here is the card I´ve made for her

I wanted to use purple for her card as I think it´s Regans favorite color and I knew right away what image to use and that is the super cool and super gorgeous Lady Raven designed by KennyK. If I'm not mistaken I think she is one of Regans favorite KennyK images and because Lady Raven is my favorite for sure, of all my images, it was an easy choice. I totally love Lady Raven and if you want to you can find her at www.kennykstamps.com. She is colored with Polychromos pencils and fussy cut.

You should have hopped here from Lina

Your next stop on the Hop is at Andy

Blog Hop Order:

Lisa that´s me :)

Recipe
The purple design paper is from Maja Design. I´ve used my aluminum tape again (a favorite) together with black acrylic paint and cut out the wings and the spider web with Cheery Lynn dies. The square behind the Birthday background stamp is made in the same way with the aluminum tape using a Spellbinder die and also a Tim Holtz embossing plate.

I don´t know the brand of the background birthday stamp, but it is embossed in white on black coredination cardstock with white core. The star edge die I´ve used is from Tim Holtz as also the big picture wheel (you can see a tiny little bit of it at the upper left corner). Also the tags and the filmstrip are made with Tim Holtz dies.

The mini picture wheel is cut out with a Magnolia die and the torn notebook with a Marianne Design die. The gears are made with a Memory Box die and the mini clock with a Technique Tuesday die. For the edges of the design paper I´ve used black soot Distress Ink and also silver embossing powder. The black paper is coredination cardstock with white core. Charm, safety pin and black tulle from stash. Metal corner from Prima.
