KennyK Stamps closing

Hello!

So, so sad to see KennyK Stamps closing it's doors at the end of this month. Elena and Kenny have expand their business with KennyK Illustrations and they have no time left to keep KennyK Stamps going. I'm happy for them that their business is going so well and I wish them all the best and good luck in the future, but for me personally and for all KennyK fans out there closing KennyK Stamps is incredible sad. I've loved my job as a DT for them and I will miss it so very much. I will also miss my friends in the design team, it's been the best team ever. I know I will stay in contact with many of you after this but it's sad to not be a team any more. So to Elena, Regan, Lucy and all the lovely ladies in the design team, past and present, and guest designers - Big Hugs to all of you. It's been an honor and a pleasure to work with you.

This is my goodby card to Elena and Kenny and KennyK Stamps. I have colored ElenaK and Buggin Drummer using Prismacolor pencils and went for a rocking, all American style card using a design paper with the American flag from Pebbels and lots of star dies.

Rock On Elena and Kenny!!!

KennyK Stamps are having a closeout sale and at Club KennyK Facebook we have a goodby party, please join us if you can

Thanks for stopping byHugs, Lisa

Wedding card using Wedding Dance from KennyK Stamps

Hello!
Hope you are well

Today I have a Wedding card to show you. I made it for my friend Anne-Marie to give to her daughter and future son in law on their Wedding day. Anne-Marie has chosen the image Wedding Dance from KennyK Stamps as the couple met through dancing. You can find the image HERE

Her daughter is very talented, she makes all clothes for her family, even underwear, so of course she has made her own Wedding dress.  She has also made the Wedding bouquet, all in fabric. I saw a pic of the bouquet and it's absolutely stunning. I couldn't tell it was made of fabric it look so real. Anne-Marie has promised to show me some more pics from the Wedding later and I can't wait to see them.

So the theme for the Wedding card is sewing. An unconventional theme for a Wedding card maybe, but lots of fun for me to work with.

I used all sewing related dies and decorations I could find in my stash. The big scissor and thread rolls on the side is an edge die from Tim Holtz, the small scissors I think are from Marianne Design. The sentiment at the bottom is from Tim Holtz

The zipper is made with a die from I think Marianne Design. The botton border is made with a Memory Box die and the small heart is made with a Marianne Design die. I used some embossing powder on both the heart and the buttons.

I bought a set of bobbins at Hobby Lobby, USA, last year just to use as decorations for my cards and canvases as I love metal decorations

The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and the love stamp behind the couple is from Magnolia. I have also used my sewing machine again as you can see.

The big tag at the top and all the big hearts are made with Tim Holtz dies. The small picture wheel is made with a Magnolia die. The tickets are from a sewing themed stamp set from Tim Holtz. Design paper with sewing theme from stash

The wooden thread rolls are colored with metallic acrylic paint from Finnabair

The big zipper is from a local store and the couples names are made with a Tim Holtz die, cardstock and embossing powder

The back side of the card.
'Love' is made with a die but don't know what brand (I bought it at either Hobby Lobby or Michaels, USA) and 'forever' with a Tim Holtz die. If I remember correctly the small Wedding couple is a stamp from Kreativa Ting in Västerås, Sweden, they design their own rubber stamps

There is still a few days left to enter the May challenge over at Club KennyK Facebook and the theme is always Anything Goes

If you enter the challenge you will be eligible for this months freebie which is Danger Dad. You just have to use a KennyK stamp or digi and you can enter with just a colored image if you don't have time or don't want to create a full project.

KennyK Danger Dad

Hello!

It's already a week in to May and I just wonder where did April go.
A bit chilly where I live though.

For todays make I've colored Danger Dad from KennyK Stamps.
He is perfect to use for Fathers Day projects and
Birthday cards for the men in our lives.
He is the progressive freebie at our May challenge
at Club KennyK Facebook

The challenge is Anything Goes.
You can enter with just a colored image if you don't want to make a full project, you just need to use a KennyK digi or stamp.
There are prizes to win for best coloring and best project
and we also have at least one random prize.
All prizes are KennyK digis of choice.
Remember to watermark your creation across the image
as per Terms of Use.

You can also get Danger Dad digi at the shop
www.kennykstamps.com
Here is my card and the DT theme is masculine

He is colored with Prismacolor pencils. Lots of layers on my card, as usual. Dies used are from Cheery Lynn, Mariann Design, Spellbinder and Tim Holtz. On some details I've used texture paste and metallic wax, both from Prima/Finnabair

I made a little pocket to fit a tag
and used a digi sentiment from KennyK Stamps.
Metal wire on the tag.
Love the new gear dies from Tim Holtz,
you can see some of them at the foreground in this pic

All the black papers are black cardstock with black gesso on. I like the matte finish very much. As you can see I've put some chicken wire on to. For the barb wire (die from Cheery Lynn) I used aluminum tape on cardstock and black gesso.
Orange papers are Coredination cardstock.

Have a great day!
Hugs, Lisa

KennyK Dowager Countess

Hello!

Our March challenge at Club KennyK Facebook is up and running and the theme is always Anything Goes. You need to use a KennyK stamp or digi though. If you enter our challenge you will be eligible for this months freebie which is Dowager Countess.

I think KennyK had the British TV serie Downtown Abbey in mind when designing this lovely lady and there is also a Jolly Chap and a Valet digi following the same theme.
You can find them all at www.kennykstamps.com

Here is my inspiration card for the challenge using Dowager Countess and the DT theme 'spring flowers'
(the theme is just for us in the DT)

In Sweden, early in the spring, we have small yellow flowers called Tussilago (real name is Hästhov, I think, but we call them Tussilago) and they are very much spring for me.
The flowers on my card does not look at all like Tussilagos except for being small and yellow and the rest of the card has not so much spring feeling over it, but that is my take on the theme.

The image is Dowager Countess from www.kennykstamps.com
colored using Prismacolor pencils.

Dies used are from Spellbinder, Cheery Lynn, Tim Holtz, Magnolia and Marianne Design. I used coredination cardstock in black and two different yellow ones. The flowers are made with a Cheery Lynn die and coredination cardstock, white gesso and small pearls.

I've made a frame using coredination cardstock in black with kraft core and Spellbinder square dies. Design papers from Panduro (a Swedish craft store) but inside the frame I've colored the paper with distress oxide and stamped randomly with a background stamp from Crafters Individual and used a stencil and grit paste from Tim Holtz to get the numbers.

The buildings are from my new set of dies from Tim Holtz, the round London ticket is a stamp but don't know what brand. I've had it for years. It's embossed and cut out. The die used at the top inside the frame is from I think Memory Box.

The London ticket is from a really nice Tim Holtz stamp set with London theme, embossed on coredination cardstock and cut out. The stars are made with a stamp from another Tim Holtz stamp set, embossed.

Thanks for looking!
Wish you a wonderful day!

Hello!

I've colored a true favorite of mine. Her name is Brooklyn Babe and she was my very first KennyK stamp. I've had her for years, I totally love her and I so enjoyed coloring her again.
You can find her as a digi HERE

I've built this card up with layers using a GoKreate die as a base. Other dies used are from Cheery Lynn (the wing), Magnolia (tag at the top and mini picture wheel), Tim Holtz (numbers, banner and mini clipboard top), Marianne Design (star border), Crealies (brick wall) Technique Tuesday (frame), Lawn Fawn (congrats) and Kaiserkraft (round mesh)

She's colored with Prismacolor pencils

Design papers from K Designs, cardstock in grey and dark purple. White corrugated cardstock and white ribbons both colored with distress ink seedless preserves and black sooth.

Smoking Hot from Illustrations by T

Hello!

I just LOVE these Slinky Tart images.
They are made by Illustrations by T and you can find her work at

Here is a card made using Smoking Hot
you can find her at the Slinky Tart link above.

Have used foil for some parts so had a bit of trouble at first taking a decent pic of this card.
The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils on Canson Mi Teintes paper. Dies used are from Cheery Lynn and Tim Holtz.

The brick wall part beside the image on the left hand side is chipboard colored with Finnabair Art Alchemy acrylic paint. I bought the chipboard at the local craft shop Angstroms Artstudio. I buy a lot of my crafting supplies at this place and if Katarina doesn't have the piece I need she often orders it for me so she is really awesome.

Paper from Ella&Viv/Reminisce and also black cardstock. A little bit of a small chain from the hardware store and also staples are used.

Thanks for looking
Have a wonderful day

but don't know what brand.

I've had them for many years. They are embossed and cut out.

Happy Birthday, Nick!

Hello and welcome!

This card is for my friend Nick. She is celebrating her 40th Birthday today and as she works as a teacher I couldn't resist using Sexy Teacher from www.kennykstamps.com for her card.
Nick is also my teamie at Club KennyK and you can find her blog here if you like to wish her a Happy Birthday and check out her fantastic makes

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NICK!
Wishing you a wonderful day

The pink paper is white cardstock sprayed with Dylusions Ink spray bubblegum pink. For one of the backing papers I covered a thicker paper with white gesso and Dylusions Ink spray bubblegum pink and then black gesso. I then treated it with sandpaper to make it look distressed. You can maybe see parts of it at the bottom of my card. The teal colored paper is cardstock and the '#happybirtday' sentiment a stamp from Tim Holtz, embossed in black.

The black paper that is suppose to look like the black board we had when I went to school (many years ago, haha), is black cardstock with black gesso treated with sandpaper.

Image Sexy Teacher from www.kennykstamps.com colored with Prismacolor pencils and cut out with a Nellie Snellen tag die and the stamp I used around the images is from Carabelle stamped with distress ink picked raspberry

I bought some black pencils at the local bookstore to match the school theme and the spiral notebook is a stamp from Deep Red, embossed in black and cut out. The letters and numbers are both made with TH dies. The pink corner is made with a Crealies die and the circle mesh with a Kaiserkraft die.

The ruler is made with a stamp I bought in Las Vegas last year (sorry, don't remember what brand), embossed in black. The torn notebook and the picture wheel dies are from TH. The tickets are made with stamps from  Hero Arts and I stamped '40' from a numerical wooden stamp set that my sister in law bought for me at the Craft Barn in UK (I think) many years ago.

Thanks for looking
Wishing you a wonderful day

KennyK Sophisticated Gentleman

Hello!
Hope you are well.

For todays make I've used Sophisticated Gentleman from www.kennykstamps

I printed him out on photo paper, cropped him and instead of coloring him the way I usually do I used my blending tool and Distress Ink walnut stain, vintage photo and black soot around the edges and a bit on top. I then printed him out again and colored just his face with my Prisma pencils and used a 3D tape to glue it on to the photo.

Then I used The Distress Collage Medium Vintage on top. It makes it look almost like an old photo.

The bow tie is made with a die but I don't remember what brand.

I've used a lot of black gesso both for backing papers and for the metal decorations. For the rusty looking papers and tags I've used kraft paper and acrylic paints from Deco Art and Distress Ink black soot.

The metal decorations are from Tim Holtz, Finnabair and stash

The faucet knob is from Tim Holtz and a favorite of mine. The star is from Finnabair, love these stars. Both colored with black gesso.

The rulers I've cut out from a Tim Holtz design paper. The tags are made with dies from TH and as you can see I've used my sewing machine (that doesn't happen very often, lol).

The sentiments 'tell your story' and '#lucky' are from TH, embossed in the color frayed burlap from TH/Ranger and with some black soot Distress ink on top.

The small frame on the bottom is chipboard from Tando Creative/Andy Skinner Industrial Elements and colored using Deco Art acrylic paint in the colors quinacridone gold and raw umber and Distress Ink black soot. The screws on top of it are metal decorations from Finnabair.
