La Spyda

Happy Halloween
Today I´m showing a Halloween card with La´Spyda from KennyK and you can find this beauty here.

I´ve made a frame like the inside of a book card and then decorated it with cob webs, spooky tree, bats and all other creepy Halloween die-cuts I could find in my stash.

The background inside the frame is made with a Halloween embossing plate from Sizzix. I´ve used Distress Stain in Barn Door and Ripe Persimmon to color my paper with.

La´Spyda is colored with my Distress Re-Inkers in Ripe Persimmon, Black Soot and Hickory Smoke.

In this pic you can se the frame better.

I´m sure you haven´t missed the on going contest on KennyK Facebook. You can find how to play along and all the DT cards here
The contest ends the 2nd of November so you have still time to enter.

Have a spooky day!

Welcome
Over at KennyK Facebook we now have put on a great show for you. The Krew are showing you one Halloween themed project every day until the 31th of October so come and join us in KennyKs 13 Days of Halloween Contest

To enter simply use a KennyK digi or clearstamp to create a Halloween project then add you creation to the album to play along. There will be a prize of 2 digis awarded to one lucky winner each day and if you follow the twist you can collect entries for our grand prize, 2 KennyK Clear Stamp sets!!! A new theme will be announced each day.

Vicky started yesterday by showing her fantastic Orange and Black masterpiece and today it´s my turn. The theme for today is Vintage/Shabby Chic/Gothic Halloween and I made my card all in black and purple with a touch of metal. I colored up the beauty Lady Raven again, I think she is perfect for my Gothic Halloween card.

I´ve used dies from Cheery Lynn, Tim Holtz and Memory Box. I´ve colored the image with my Distress Re-Inkers in the colors Dusty Concord and Black Soot.

 Here is a close up

I´ve used embossing powder for the tickets and crackel paint on details like the bat border and the fence. On the spooky tree and the compass I´ve used black embossing powder. The spider web are cut out in black cardstock and then colored with Distress Stain Brushed Pewter to get a silver metallic look. The metal skulls are originaly in a bronze color so I used a little Metallic Lustre to make them more silver metallic. The background behind the image are made with aluminum tape and my favorite embossing plate from Sizzix and black acrylic paint. The cheese cloth is colored with Distress Ink Seedless Preserves.

Tomorrow Lina will show you her fabulous project with a new exciting Halloween theme so don´t miss it.

Lady Raven in New York

Hi all and welcome

For this card I´ve used my absolute favorite KennyK image, Lady Raven. I just love her! Her looks and her attitude, WOW! I´ve made the card for my mother in law and the theme is New York. At the top you can see a glimpse of Times Square, it´s a stamp from Red Rubber Stamps. In the mini album down to the right I´ve put some photos from when we all visited New York last year.

This color combo is a favorite...

...I also like stars...

...here you can se the mini album

Seeing all the New York photos again make me want to go back...so next year, New York here we come....

Also check out our on going challenge at KennyKs Krafty Krew Blog. This time use Laces and Pearls for the twist with the chance of winning 5 KennyK digis.

I will try my luck in the Anything Goes challenge (no 31) over at Create and Inspire with this card.

Have a nice day!

Black & White

Welcome

This is a card I´ve made for a challenge in an event in my hometown. The local scrapbooking shop Engströms Artstudio arrange this event two times a year and I had the opportunity to participate this time. We were 94 crafters making projects and inspiring each other last weekend. The shop were open with lots of fun stuff to get inspired by and the DT girls showed us news and different scrapbooking techniques. I have also signed up for a Copic coloring class later in October arranged by Engströms Artstudio, I thought I would give it a try.

I´m SO happy because I was voted winner with this black and white card in the Saturday challenge. YAY!

I will try my luck in the following challenges

Happy Everything

Hello everyone,

It´s time for a new challenge over at KennyKs Krafty Krew and I´ve made a Christmas card using gorgeous Bow (adult) to show you.

The challenge is
Anything Goes
 with the optional twist
Happy Everything

The card is made using dies from Tim Holtz and Magnolia. The sentiments in white on blue paper are stamps and I think they are from Panduro, but I´m not sure. They are embossed in white and cut out by hand. I´ve used white crackel paint on the trees, the snow flurries and the base.
I´ve colored my image with Distress Re-inkers and embossed the Happy Christmas stamp from Crafty Individuals beside her and than used some white crackel paint again around the edges.

Our fantastic sponsor

Now it´s your turn to show us your best creations and any holiday occasion or cause for celebration would fit the twist. You must use a KennyK image but the twist is optional. The prizes are 3 digis of the random winner choice (5 if twist is included) and one digi each for Top 3 chosen by the design team. My teamies have lots of inspiration for you so welcome to KennyKs Krafty Krew and have a look.

Thanks for stopping by today
